Sutton Park

On Wednesday 18th September 2019, as part of our Literacy work, an excited Year 2 journeyed to the beautiful and sunny Sutton Park to see if we could find Percy the Park Keeper hard at work welcoming visitors and looking after the wildlife. Unfortunately, we didn’t cross paths with Percy, who must have been on yet another wonderful adventure with his animal friends, however we did learn more about how to care for the park and how to have lots of fun there too. Throughout the day, we carefully searched for evidence of animals living in the park and also built woodland dens for the animals to shelter in before creating our very own ‘Memory Sticks’ to remind us of our special visit. As always, the children were a credit to Christ the King School with their outstanding behaviour and enthusiasm and are all looking forward to returning to Sutton Park in the future.
