Year 2 Trip to Black Country Museum - 17th April 2018
On Tuesday Year 2 visited the Black Country Museum where they learned what school life was like in Victorian times and how to write the alphabet backwards. They also watched a short black and white film and looked at what the houses would have been like. The children were on their best behaviour. The highlight of the day was seeing Mrs Clayton getting the cane!!
Visit to Synagogue, 6th June 2018
On Wednesday Year 2 visited Singer’s Hill Synagogue in Birmingham. The children were fascinated by the sheer size of the Synagogue and the magnificent and intricate detail of the building. Geoff, our guide, told us lots of interesting facts about Judaism and all the children had a wonderful experience. He also sent an email commenting on the exceptional behaviour of our pupils: congratulating them on their respectfulness and attentiveness throughout their visit. They were a credit to school and to their parents. Well Done Year 2!
Trip to Weston Super-Mare, 27th June 2018
On Wednesday, Year 2 had an early start as they embarked on a sea-side adventure to Weston Super-Mare. The weather was glorious and the children enjoyed donkey rides, ice-creams and making sandcastles - they particularly enjoyed burying Mr Cooke in the sand! The children behaved impeccably and we are sure they will remember the day for many years to come!
