Year 2 Visit Percy the Park Keeper at Sutton Park, 12th and 13th September 2018

This week, as part of their Literacy work, an excited Year 2 journeyed to Sutton
Park to see if they could find Percy the Park Keeper hard at work welcoming visitors
and looking after the wildlife. To their delight, Percy took some time out of his busy
schedule fixing a broken bridge to talk to the children about how to care for the
park and how to have lots of fun there too. Following Percy’s advice, the children
carefully searched for evidence of animals living in the park and also built dens for
the animals to shelter in. Percy the Park Keeper agreed that all of the children were
a credit to Christ the King School with their outstanding behaviour and is looking
forward to welcoming them back to the park in the future.
