Today, we led the school and our families in mass in the church as we celebrated the feast day of St Patrick. As one of our school house saints, it was important for the school to learn about the life of St Patrick. Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me. These words help to remind us that in Lent we share in the sacrifices made by Jesus through fasting, prayer and almsgiving. St. Patrick is an example to us all; he overcame great challenges after being made a slave. He refused to seek revenge and instead chose to return to Ireland in order to preach Jesus’s message. With St. Patrick as our guide, and Jesus at our side, may we continue on our journeys towards Easter filled with faith, love and compassion.
