Pupils to pray a chosen ‘prayer to be known’.

The adult to choose a bible story or short scripture.

The adult chooses an appropriate activity to respond e.g. A song, drawing, a dance, a walk, a reflection to be scribed etc.

The adult sets an age-related mission linked to theme e.g. Theme of care for God’s creation – Mission to tidy the prayer garden.

KS1

Pupils to choose a ‘prayer to be known’ from KS1 list. Use widget cards to support.

Pupils to choose from two different pieces of scripture provided by an adult.

Pupils prepare a response choosing from the prompt cards or adult prepared activities following time of reflection.

Pupils choose a mission prompted by cards in prayer boxes.

LKS2

Pupils choose a ‘prayer to be known’ or other linked to scripture with support from an adult.

Pupils to make suggestions of scripture linked to theme or liturgical season.

Pupils prepare a response choosing from the prompt cards in the prayer box and give suggestions following time of reflection.

Pupils find or plan a mission using prompt cards with adult guidance.

UKS2

Pupils to independently choose a prayer linked to scripture or write their own.

Pupils to choose appropriate scripture and consider how it will be proclaimed or whether they would like to make / obtain supporting resources.

Pupils prepare an appropriate response activity independently following time of reflection.

Pupils find or plan a mission linked to the theme / scripture independently.
