Extra Action- Higaonon Tree Growing Project in solidarity with the people of the Philippines (16.1.24)

Today we went to the launch of the Higaonon Tree Growing Project- a five year project to support tree growing by the Higaonon indigenous people in the Philippines (one of 20 schools in the Archdiocese of Birmingham). We look forward the whole school development in faith and an education as a result. 

The launch day included: prayer, eating lots of Filipino food, a zoom meeting with with Marj in the Philippines, discussing the resources to be shared with the children during the first term and plans for the upcoming tree planting activity.
