Birthdays
This week we have looked at birthdays. We read the story ‘Kipper’s Birthday’ and answered who, what, why, where questions about it. We talked about our own birthdays and what we do with our families. The children were very excited when they came into school to see we had a ‘birthday’ party in our home corner. We have sorted presents by 2D shapes, sorted presents using the correct vocabulary more and less, played musical statues in PE, used the playdough to make cakes with different amounts of candles on them and decorated cakes with 3 or 4 sweets depending on how old we are. Children have enjoyed making birthday cards and invites at the writing table and lots more fun activities too.
