We learnt all about a special celebration called Diwali and why it is also known as the Festival of Light. We shared the story of Rama and Sita and used our outdoor classroom to re-enact it! We mixed salt dough and made it into diva lamps, which we then decorated with paint and glitter. We also created firework artwork, crafted rangoli patterns and even made fireworks in a bottle by mixing oil, water and food colouring. We discussed what we thought would happen when we mixed the ingredients together, including which colours would be produced.
