Addition and subtraction

We have started a new unit of work - addition and subtraction! Over the next few weeks we will be adding two digit numbers together, using the inverse to check calculations and counting back on a number line.

Recently, we have been creating fact families! Did you know, fact families have 4 number sentences? Two adds and two take-aways!
We have been recapping bonds to 10 and we have been using what we already know to help us solve other calculations. 
For example - if 3 + 2 = 5 we know that 30 + 20 = 50 

Place Value 

We have been learning how to count in 2s, 5s, 10s and 3s. 
We have been learning times table chants and performing for our peers! They help us to remember and speedily recall our times tables. We have also been partitioning numbers into tens and ones and ordering numbers from the greatest to the least.
