Here are the books we will study this half term...

Nursery Reading Workshop

Thank you so much for all the parents that came to the Nursery Reading Workshops on World Book Day (2.3.23) - based on The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The children completed a wide range of activities linked to the book including sequencing the story, initial sounds, pencil control, fine motor, craft activities, counting, life cycles and physical development. The children had a lovely time and enjoyed working their family members. All the feedback was positive and we hope to have more workshops in the future.

Snow day 09/03/23 Unfortunately we cannot be together today, due to the snowy weather, but here are a few activities to keep you busy...

Snow day 10/3/23 More resources and activities to use whilst we are not together

CONGRATULATIONS

A huge well done to Ada who completed the activities on the website. A special prize is on the way .

Social story for our upcoming trip to Ash End Farm- 14/3/23

Here are the animals we will see at the farm- 14/3/23

As part of our Lenten fundraising, the children took part in a sponsored walk around the playground. The children were amazing and managed to complete 6 laps. Well done!

On Tuesday, the children enjoyed a wonderful day at the farm. They had the chance to meet the new baby animals that had been born, feed the goats and sheep and collect eggs from the chickens. A huge thank you to all the parents who were able to come along and enjoy this special day.

As part of our understanding the world we have been planting seeds. We know that to grow the seeds need water, soil and sunlight. We all planted our own seed and are looking forward to seeing them grow.

Lenten fundraiser

As part of our Lenten fundraising the children came to school in something purple and donated a £1. The CTK stewards decided that the money raised would go towards helping Turkey and Syria after their recent earthquake. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Growing vegetables - 2 weeks later

After 2 weeks our seeds had started to grow. Small shoots and leaves appeared so we planted them outside in larger pots. We wonder how big they will grow in the sunlight.

As part of our work on life cycle we have been so lucky to receive 10 eggs on Monday. The children have watched excitedly as the eggs have cracked and hatched giving us 10 fluffy chicks to look after.

As part of our Easter celebrations the children made chocolate cakes, took part in an Easter bonnet parade showing off their fabulous creations and had a surprise visit from a very special guest!
