Whole School Mass led by Year 1 10.5.19
Year 1 led their first whole school Mass of the year today in the church. Lots of family members also attended to support the children who did a fabulous job in the leading the celebration of St Comgall's feast day.
He was an Irish saint who founded his monastery in Northern Ireland. Life in the monastery was tough. Food was scarce and the monks were only allowed one meal a day. Even milk was seen as an indulgence. They even had to confess their sins in front of everybody in the community. Saint Comgall reminds us to put Christ at the centre and not to take food and drink for granted.
