The Look, Cover, Write Check document is a useful tool to print off to help them learn their weekly spellings. 

The Spelling Activity Ideas are just suggestions to help engage children in fun spelling activities. 

There are 45 'Red Words' the children are expected to read and spell by the end of Year 1. The Year 1 Common Exception Word Mat shows these. Please practise them at home to support their learning at school.
