Diwali
We shared different books about Diwali. We listened to the story of Rama and Sita and built them a house to stay in. We talked about the light and flowers guiding them home, and that Diwali is known as the ‘festival of light’ and made diyas using different media. We got to take home our salt dough diya. The children enjoyed planting in the nursery, so we can watch them turn into flowers in spring. We made Diwali cards in our writing area.
This week we went looking for ‘Thelma Three’ our new character in Ten Town and heard her story and song.
