Maths parents workshop
It was lovely to invite our family members in for a maths workshop. The workshop started with a talk from Mrs Chandler about how maths is taught in Reception and the vocabulary the children use within the setting. After, the family members were joined by their child and completed lots of maths activities in the hall, classrooms and the outside area. This gave the adults a real insight in to how the children learn within Reception and the children’s increasing independence. The family members all gave positive feedback on how much they had enjoyed the workshop, that it would support them with understanding how maths is taught and how impressed they were with the children’s maths knowledge. It was great morning and the children were delighted to share this experience with their family members.
