Mother’s Day This week we have been preparing for our Mother’s Day assembly. On Thursday we invited family members in to discuss the importance of Mother’s Day and why we celebrate it. We discussed ways to show how much we love our mums / family members. The children sang beautifully and all spoke clearly. There were lots of tears from the audience! The children completed their assembly but giving their family members some flowers and a heart chocolate. Children painted beautiful pictures of their mums/ special women in their lives, thinking carefully about what colours to choose for their eyes, hair etc. Children have also made beautiful cards for Sunday, using a different artist technique. It has been a busy, but lovely week in school.
