We had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day and we all dressed up as our favourite book characters. The teachers even dressed up as different coloured crayons from ‘The Day the crayons quit’ book. During the week we have had so lovely reading / book activities. To start the day we voted on the book we would like our teacher to read. Then we went on a book hunt around school, finding books with different criteria, such as a bear and castles. We had a great time searching for them. We looked at fiction and non-fiction books, discussing what made them either type of book and then we sorted them. We made our own book marks to take home and talked about our favourite books and gave reasons as to why they were our favourite books. We have had a wonderful week
